Privacy statement

AI for Humans has been designed to collect no personal information from you. That is a deliberate design choice.

The course is free to use. You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide your name or email address to take part.

The one exception is if you choose to sign up for updates, which is optional and explained below.

How your course progress is stored

The website keeps track of your progress through the course so that you can see what you have completed.

It does this by storing that information locally in your browser, using browser cookies. Your course progress stays on your own device. It is not sent to us, collected by us, or shared with anyone else.

Because your progress is stored on your device, it will not automatically follow you if you switch devices. For example, if you start the course on your laptop and later continue on your phone, your phone will not know which parts you have already completed.

For the simplest experience, we recommend using the same device and browser throughout the course.

If you do switch devices, there is no problem. The whole course is open and available at any time, so you can simply go back to where you left off. You do not need to repeat anything.

If you sign up for updates

There is an optional "Sign up for updates" form on the home page. If you use it, we store your email address, the date you signed up, and a note that you asked to hear about AI for Humans. We do not record your IP address from this form. We also remember in your browser that you have signed up, so we do not ask you again.

We use your email address only to tell you about AI for Humans: new course content, live sessions to support learners, and the occasional piece of reading or a resource we think course participants will enjoy. We will not sell your email address or share it with anyone else.

Your details are held by Stratentia in a database hosted on Cloudflare. If you have also signed up through another Stratentia website, your details are kept in a single record, but each website's updates are separate: we only email you about AI for Humans if you signed up for it here. When updates are sent, an email service will process your email address on our behalf.

To unsubscribe or have your email address deleted, email ray@stratentia.com and it will be removed.

In short

You can use AI for Humans without giving us any personal information.

We do not require registration, we do not require an email address, and we do not collect your course progress. Your progress is stored only in your own browser.

If you choose to sign up for updates, we will store your email address so we can send them, and you can ask for it to be removed at any time.
